iPhone battery health dropping issue I have an iPhone 12 64GB I’ve bought it on march after using 4 months from today’s date 7th Aug 2021 of lightly using, my battery health dropped to 95% I’m so worried about this and i want to make sure is this normal or what Also i do follow some battery safety tips like removing back case while charging and I don’t play games too.
The battery health is just an estimate. Apple shouldn’t need to upgrade the OP or ask for a passcode. However, if you send in a device for a battery change, I suggest backing up your phone, then wiping it and install as new with just the stock apps. You can set the passcode to be 1234 if you like. My iphone 11 went from 95% to 92% battery health in the 2 weeks. Title says it all, I'm not sure if I should be worried or not. I usually plug it out soon after it's done charging, battery life is still decent but I'm not liking this trend.
It's an old wives tale that people have been spreading since the iPhone 3G or so days. The bulk of the resource intensive work iOS does after upgrades doesn't actually happen unless the phone is plugged into power.
There are so many factors in play that it’s very difficult to say one or the other. 1. Age. Lithium battery degrades with age, along with usage. 2. Heat. Heat is the worse enemy for battery. 3. And any measurement is not 100% accurate, be it Apple’s or coconut battery.
. In general, the older and longer battery using products are used and more charged, the more the battery health drops. My iPhone 14 pro max battery health dropped quickly as approaching time on iPhone 15 release date, which was about 1 year of usage with once a day of full cycle of charging.
Again in 6 days, i have noticed a percentage drop. Now its 96. I have diagnosed with apple support and they said it is normal. But i have friends of mine using the same iphone 11 heavily for more than 6 months and they haven't noticed any drop in battery health. Apple should consider this seriously!
